The Côte de l'Esterel still has undeveloped areas, all of which are located in the municipality of Saint-Raphaël. Cape Trayas is located just before Théoule-sur-Mer, where there is a lot of construction. The southern cape is rarely walked. Is it just because it's hard to park here?

Description
The Massif de l'Esterel is a natural eldorado for locals and tourists alike. Although small in size, long hikes are possible inside the massif as on this hike in the Esterel.
The coast is cut into innumerable capes which are themselves divided into individual points. Going forward allows you to admire the transparent water between the dark red porphyry rocks. The cliffs drop steeply, so you can gaze vertically into the water and admire the fish, sea anemones and Posidonia weeds.
Access by public transport
There is a train stop nearby. The TER PACA (only french) line runs between Les Arcs, St. Raphaël, Cannes, Antibes and Nice. The Le Trayas stop is served a dozen times a day.
Get off the station towards the road D559 and follow it for 400 meters or 5 minutes eastward. The southern cape of Trayas is reached when the road moves away from the railway line.
Access by car
We are on the Corniche de l'Esterel between Mandelieu in the Alpes Maritimes to the north and Saint-Raphaël to the south. More concretely it is south of Théoule-sur-Mer on one of the many turns of the departmental road.
We are on the first unbuilt cape coming from the north and more precisely south of it.
Places for parking are limited. There are two at the access to the southern cape and a little more both 100 meters to the left and to the right.
Access by short walk
A path passes between bushes to arrive at the base of the southern branch of this small cape.
You then pass a rock to move forward in a straight line. Do not go down to the right, but go slightly downhill to the left to have a good view of the rocks that plunge into the dark blue Mediterranean.
It is not possible to dive into the sea here without serious injury. A beach is located in the Calanque de Maupas more or less directly below Le Trayas train station. Access is on the right side of the sea side car park.
