Orange big market is located Place Georges Clemenceau, Cours Aristide Briand and Place André Bruey. This is on the square and the streets around the municipal office (Mairie) (map). 300 different booths are to be found on this market. The product range includes fruit and vegetables, direct marketing food, cheese, oarganic products, fish and seafood, meat products, meat products, flowers and crop and also clothes, kitchen utensils, furniture, toys and not non alimentary producs.

The Orange Market is a weekly market that has been held every Thursday in the city since the beginning of the 15th century. It is one of the oldest and most lively markets in Provence. He had a difficult start. Founded by a prince of Orange to compete with the Carpentras market, it took the intervention of an emperor of the Holy Roman Empire to arbitrate and settle this dispute.

Over time, the weekly market evolved to allow farmers and local traders to sell their surplus including silks, madder and haberdashery. The location of the stalls was regulated. The poultry market was held rue de la Poulasserie, the current rue Notre-Dame, the place aux herbes, before becoming the place of sale of vegetables, welcomed fishmongers and macelliers (butchers) who butchered their meat on site.
