Carpentras market is located Place Maurice Charretier, Place de l'Horloge and Avenue Jean Jaurès, other local name: Place de l'horloge. This is around the municipal office (Mairie), in the centre and on the Allée des Platanes (map). 300 different booths are to be found on this market. The product range includes fruit and vegetables, direct marketing food, cheese, oarganic products, fish and seafood, meat products, meat products, flowers and crop and also clothes, kitchen utensils, furniture, toys and not non alimentary producs.

The Carpentras market is a weekly market held every Friday in the historic center of Carpentras. Its origins date back to Antiquity since in the first century BC, the city was known under the name of Forum Neronis (Nero Market). It is the oldest and one of the liveliest markets in Provence
