Offering a number of local products, it is one of the liveliest and most colorful of Comtat Venaissin.
The floating market (Marché Flottant) was created in the 1980s by René Legier. It takes place on the Sorgue, fruits and vegetables are stored on flat-bottomed boats, called Nego-Chin, led by boatmen and women who offer these food to the inhabitants of Isle sur la Sorgue and to tourists on the first Sunday of August, at the same time as the Sunday market. You can go shopping and enjoy, in addition, traditional Provencal costumes, music and live and singing commentary. When the floating market ends, the boats meet with all the participants of the traditional market and they sing the famous Cansoun de la Coupo, which celebrates Provence.
