Cavaillon Monday market is located Place Philippe de Cabassole, Rue Agricol Perdiguier, Rue Joseph Guis, Place Fernand Lombard, Rue Aimé Boussot, Cours Bournissac and Place François Tourel, other local name: Place aux herbes. This is around and south of the municipal office (Mairie) (map). 180 different booths are to be found on this market. The product range includes fruit and vegetables, direct marketing food, oarganic products, fish and seafood, meat products, flowers and crop and also clothes, kitchen utensils, furniture, toys and not non alimentary producs.

The market in Cavaillon became famous in the 19th century for its melon production, and with the advent of the railroad, the whole of northern France is supplied. This large green market was relocated to the outskirts in the 1960s and the Place du Clos became the location for the market on Monday with up to 200 dealers. It stretches to Cours Bournissac and Place aux Herbes, behind the municipal office, where most of the food stalls can be found.

Every year in mid-July, the melon festival (Melons en Fêtes) takes place, during which the Cantaloup melons are tasted.
